Martial Arts Amateur Athlete Fund
The Martial Arts Amateur Athlete Fund is a non-profit organization established by the members of D & D United Martial Arts and their parents.  The objective of the Martial Arts Amateur Athlete Fund is to support the martial art athletes who have achieved a placement on Team Canada to represent our country at the World Championships.  The World Championships are held in a different country each year.

In January 2008, five competitors from this region had the privilege of competing on Team Canada at the World Championships in Mexico.  The five competitors had the honour of bringing home a total of nine World Championship Medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze).  In January 2009, fifteen competitors from the Brantford area had the privilege of competing on Team Canada at the World Championships in Cuba.  The fifteen competitors had the honour of bringing home a total of 34 medals (7 Gold, 14 Silver, and 13 Bronze).

Competing and representing Canada is a big expense for competitors as they train hard.  Our goal is to help these amateur athletes, from as young as five years old, to be able to achieve their objective of representing the surrounding area of Brantford, and Canada at the World Championships with pride.

While searching for community sponsorship with little success; the parents and members of our club decided to help make competition more affordable, and attainable through the organization of the Martial Arts Amateur Athlete Fund.  The volunteers working with the Martial Arts Amateur Athlete Fund will be raising money through various fund raising events and would appreciate your support.

If a business or person would like to offer support through the donation of money, please send a cheque or money order payable to:
