Student of the Year 2008

Awards are handed out every year at D & D United's Christmas party to one Karate Kid, Evade Kid, and one Adult.  Out of these three winners, one of them is selected as the Student of the Year.  Student of the Year is based on class performance and effort.

Mickey was awarded as the Karate Kid and Student of the Year.  She has demonstrated excellent focus not only at the club, but at tournaments throughout this year.  Mickey acheived a triple crown at the Crispin Shia tournament this year by winning in her sparring, forms, and weapons divisions.

Logan was awarded our Kids Evade Student of the Year.  He recently earned his brown-stripe belt and is on his way to becoming one of the youngest Junior Black Belts who has trained at D & D United.

Rick won the Adult Student of the Year.  Rick returned to our club over two years ago after a six year absence.  He has worked very hard to regain the level he had earned at the time he left.  He has worked even harder to approach the achievement of his Black Belt.
