In January of 2008, five members of D & D United attended the World Championships in Mexico.  Susan achieved a bronze in sparring and a bronze in forms; Tom achieved a gold in sparring and bronze in weapons; Mr. Cribbins achieved a silver in fighting; Mr. Mulligan achieved a silver in forms and bronze in weapons; and Mr. Davis achieved a gold in weapons and silver in forms.  These five amateur athletes were the only competitors from Brantford and its surrounding area to qualify for Team Canada and compete at the World Championships.  All Team Canada athletes were reconized by the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, for qualifying for Team Canada and representing the Canada at the World Championships.  If you would like information on Team Canada or the World Championships you can contact Mr. Davis.  He was appointed a Regional Board of Director for the Internation Congress of Martial Arts.
