I have trained in Martial Arts for over 20 years and have been teaching Martial Arts for over 10 years.  My achievements include the rank of Godan Blackbelt (5th degree) in Goju-ryu Karate, rank of Yodan Blackbelt (4th degree) in Wado-Kia Karate, and I am Head Instructor at D & D United Martial Arts.  Having studied in both Goju-ryu,Wado-Kia, and Sotokan Karate, I am now a deciple of Arme Rizzo an 8th degree Grand Master and president of the Shintani Karate Federation.  I have competed at various levels and I am a seven time WKA (World Karate Association). I am a Regional Board of Director for the ICOMA (International Congress of Martial Arts), as well as, a member and coach of Team Canada.  In July 2009 I was presented the Goju-Ryu Instructor of the Year by the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame, as well as winning two gold medals at the UMAHoF World Championships.  In Jan. 2009 I won 3 Silver medals at the ICOMA World Championships.  I am the 2008 gold medalist in Black Belt Open Weapons and silver medalist in Black Belt Traditional Forms for the WCOAA World Championships.  I was inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2008, as well as winning International Club of the Year for 2008, and winning two silver medals at the UMAHoF World Championships. My philosophy is the basis of Martial Arts studies at D & D United Martial Arts.  The instructors under my tutelage believe that anyone can benefit spiritually as well as physically without regards to age, gender, race or capability.
